Full course description

Bridges to Health Equity is designed to help learners understand the ways that individual, social, institutional and historical injustice impact health disparities; and provide instruction in the concepts, methods, key issues, and research tools necessary for conducting health equity research, with particular emphasis on the research frameworks applicable to understanding and intervening in the social determinants of health to achieve health equity. The course will provide a platform for interdisciplinary discourse on the impact of the intersection of race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, sexuality, and environment on how people grow, live, work, and age.
